A million-dollar extravagant all-white New Year party has been organised at the Elmina Beach Resort for the Vice President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur.

According to a close friend of his, “Paa Kwesi has literally been absent from the Ghanaian political scene for so long. We don’t see him! We don’t hear him! We don’t even smell him! So when we heard of his bold statement on December 27th last year, we were excited!”

On December 27th, Mr Amissah-Arthur addressed the University of Cape Coast branch of Tertiary Educational Institutions Network (TEIN) and stated that ‘in spite of the socio-economic challenges, government has been able to maintain the peace and stability of the country’, adding that ‘peace and stability are not guaranteed under the NPP’. News of what he said rippled through the political scene and generated excitement even amongst the opposition parties. A leading member of the NPP spoke to 2eweboys.com saying, “Yes, the man spoke against us, but it is we ourselves who have given him the chance by our own indiscipline and bloated egos. But I am really excited because we always thought this man could not talk. It is refreshing to see him finally come out to play.”

Speaking to 2eweboys.com on condition of anonymity, the husband of the sister of the brother of the uncle of the mother of the Vice President explained that they had to throw the party because their son had finally spoken. “Bra Kwesi has always been a brilliant chap but he is too quiet. Finally hearing and seeing him in the news was a great achievement which we had to celebrate!” he intimated excitedly.

Also present at the party were colleagues and old students of the Veep’s alma mater (Mfantsipim), members of the opposition parties and congregants of his church (Calvary Methodist, Adabraka).

Our investigations revealed that everyone who attended the party received a classy shirt designed and made by Ghana’s first menswear styling house, Brooke and March (www.brookeandmarch.com).
